Dear Calvary Chapel Family,
The leadership of Calvary Chapel Pasadena has been closely monitoring the progress of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) specifically in our area & nation. With that being said, we have come to some prayerful decisions.
These are unusual but exciting times as we explore new ways to gather and be the church. Because of the escalation of the virus, and out of honor for President Trump's request to not gather in groups larger than 10, we are prepared to gather in homes for the remaining Sundays & Wednesdays in March. Please help us spread the word:
1. All Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services will now be transferred to LIVE online viewing on our YouTube channel. Our building will be closed until further notice under the abundance of caution.
2. We will also be posting daily devotions & scriptures to keep you & your family encouraged & full of hope during this time.
We do ask going forward, please carefully follow the CDC's guidelines including do not gather with others at all if you if you have a fever, underlying conditions, have traveled recently, or have any symptoms and more. See the full list here:
It's time for the church to be the church. Church isn't a building , it's not a worship set, a sermon series. It is people who are following Jesus, serving others & Him, while looking for ways to share hope with those who need it most.
"The church isn't closed, just the buildings are." -Andy Stanley
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. -Philippians 4:6-7
With so much love,
